A Look at Current Global & Domestic Economic Challenges: A Conversation with Senator Coons, Rep. Smith, UK Shadow Foreign Secretary Alexander

On Tuesday, July 26th – please join NDN/NPI for a morning conversation about the economic challenges facing America and the world featuring views from the United States Senate, House and the British House of Commons.

There is so much on the global and US economic agendas now -  rising economic powers, a growing European debt crisis, budget and trade liberalization stalemates here in the US, insufficient growth throughout the developed world, an enormous need to ensure even greater economic assistance, trade and investment to the countries of the Arab Spring and the developing world.   To reflect on these daunting challenges we’ve assembled a trio of terrific elected leaders - Senator Chris Coons, Representative Adam Smith and the Shadow Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, Douglas Alexander – who will share their thoughts and leave some time for questions from the audience. Bios are below. Dr. Robert Shapiro, Chair of NDN's Globalization Initiative will provide opening remarks.

Our event,  “A Look at Current Global and Domestic Economic Challenges with Sen. Chris Coons, Rep Adam Smith and Rt Hon. Douglas Alexander,” will take place on Tuesday, July 26th, 2212 Rayburn House Office Building, from 10am to Noon.
