Peter Bergen: The Longest War

In the acclaimed new book The Longest War: The Enduring Conflict Between America and Al-Qaeda, journalist and foreign policy analyst Peter Bergen offers a deep and insightful perspective on both sides of the U.S.’s ongoing conflict with Osama bin Laden and the Al-Qaeda network. Michiko Kakutani of the New York Times writes: “For readers interested in a highly informed, wide-angled, single-volume briefing on the war on terror so far, “The Longest War” is clearly that essential book.”

On March 8, NDN and the New Policy Institute, in cooperation with the Truman National Security Project, hosted Peter Bergen for a discussion of his new book and a conversation moderated by NDN President Simon Rosenberg.

You can't just ask

You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.
