About the Position:
The Assistant to the President manages President’s calendar and schedules appointments for President and staff as needed. Schedules and organizes activities such as meetings, travel, and events and all related logistical aspects of meetings by arranging for facilities, caterer, and issuing information or invitations. The assistant handles requests involving the organizations 501(c)(3) sister organization. Develops, manages, and maintains media lists and contact lists, and updates organization’s website with media requests. Manages incoming correspondence via phone, fax, mail, and e-mail by correctly prioritizing and/or distributing correspondence. Directs preparation of records such as invoices, contracts, and agendas. Manages day-to-day office activity and functions as well as managing event days.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have an undergraduate degree as well as a background in politics, event planning, and administrative work. Candidates must be able to work independently and to communicate with high level individuals. Candidates must be able to handle sensitive information and exercise common sense. Knowledge of NGP and other databases are a plus.
