Senate Democrats remain firm on immigration, Republicans search for center- As Republicans search for an immigration reform solution their constituents can swallow, Senate Democrats maintain that reform legislation must be comprehensive, and must include a pathway to citizenship.

Labor: The new proponent of immigration reform- After taking a brief pause to discuss his plan to combat gun violence in Minneapolis, President Obama continued his spirited push for immigration reform Wednesday. According to a White House statement, the president held “meetings at the White House with labor leaders and progressive leaders…to discuss his commitment to getting a bipartisan bill passed in 2013.”

NYTimes: New polls show support for Obama’s handling of immigration- Following President Obama’s campaign-style blitz last week to unveil his proposals for immigration overhaul, the public’s rating of his handling of the issue appears to be on the rise, with several of his proposals enjoying broad support.
