The New York Times repeated this concern in a Wednesday article, prompting other news outlets to question its validity and re-assess the true economic impact of immigration reform.

Rubio vies to become GOP leader on immigration- In a Wednesday interview, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) said that it was critical that Rubio, the most prominent Latino elected politician in the country, “has stepped forward [on immigration reform]. He’s the real linchpin in this effort.” Consistent with Flake’s remarks, Rubio was just selected to give the response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday, in both Spanish and English.
