Colbert Testifies In Congress, Stands Up For Immigrant Farm Workers

Television Personality/Superstar Stephen Colbert came to Congress to testify before the immigration subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee to testify on the Agricultural Jobs legislation.

The New York Times Caucus Blog lifted the following Colbert quote from the question and answer period:

“I like talking about people who don’t have any power, and it seems like one of the least powerful people in the United States are migrant workers who come and do our work but don’t have any rights themselves,” he said. “Migrant workers suffer and have no rights.”
