Michael D. Hais

Michael D. Hais is a fellow with NDN and the New Policy Institute. He served as Vice President, Entertainment Research at Frank N. Magid Associates where he conducted audience research for hundreds of television stations, cable channels, and program producers in nearly all 50 states and more than a dozen foreign countries.

Michael Hais and his co-author, Morley Winograd, are the authors of Millennial Momentum: Where America is Headed which addresses the impact of America’s youngest generation and their technology on America’s institutions.  Their first book, the highly acclaimed Millennial Makeover, was on the New York Times’ favorite books of 2008.

Prior to joining Magid in 1983, Hais was a political pollster for Democrats in Michigan and an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Detroit. He received a B.A. from the University of Iowa, an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, all in political science.
