New Tools, New Audiences Forum

Friday, May 9
10:00 AM - 4:00PM

Event Summary:

Just like FDR used radio to reach out to and broaden his audience, the progressive movement has an array of new technologies at its disposal that is allowing it to reach emerging audiences. With the game-changing potential of Hispanics, Millennials, Influentials, and Exurbs, progressives have both an opportunity and responsibility to engage the audiences of 21st century America. To learn more, please come join us on Friday, May 9, when NDN and the New Politics Institute will conduct a day-long forum with experts from many fields about how the new tools -- ranging from cell phones to buying cable advertising -- can reach these critical audiences now and how those audiences in turn, can use them to reach others.

These tools certainly can help those in the campaign world, but we also will be teaching advocates and others how to make these new tools and new audiences relevant to them in whatever capacity they are serving the greater cause.

The day will go from big-picture strategic analysis to practical hands-on advice, and allow ample time for networking with colleagues and experts. Lunch will be provided.
