NDN continued our work to open up a new frontier in the economic debate by launching this comprehensive new report revealing the failure of conservative economic policy. The administration has tried, and will continue to try, to spin its dismal economic record. But this new report – The Bush Economic Record – lets us fight back with data and analysis on the Republican’s failure of economic stewardship, and the areas in which progressives must work to ensure the economy once again benefits all Americans.

Driven by the reality of declining real wages, the debate about why our economy leaves most Americans behind is becoming more important by the day. We launch this report in a week in which a new CNN poll showed that the economy will be the single most important issue for most voters in deciding how to cast their vote in the November 2006 elections. To coincide with the report launch, NDN also turned our NDN blog over to a discussion of the economy, with contributions from a range of invited guest bloggers including:
